About Us
Grow Our Village was created in 2025 in response to a need for more inclusive, accessible support for new and expecting parents in our community.
Our founder, Audrey Smith, recognized that while there were many opportunities for social connection and community support for new moms, there was a significant gap in resources designed to support the whole family—including non-birthing partners and caregivers navigating the transition into parenthood alongside them.
After experiencing the early postpartum months herself, Audrey kept coming back to a simple question: Why don’t some of these supports already exist?
Why wasn’t there a lending library where families could try swaddles, baby carriers, and other newborn essentials before investing in them? Why weren’t there comprehensive workshops where local experts could share practical, trustworthy information in one place? And why were so many support groups asking exhausted new parents to find childcare before they could access the very support they needed?
So, she set out to help build something different.
Grow Our Village brings together access to newborn essentials, practical education, meaningful community, and mental health and wellness support to help ease the transition into parenthood. Whenever possible, we work to remove barriers—whether financial, logistical, or related to childcare—so families can more easily access the resources and relationships they need.
Our mission is to nurture and empower new and expecting parents by providing affordable access to essential baby products, inclusive learning opportunities, mental health and wellness services, and a supportive community. We walk alongside families throughout pregnancy and their baby’s first year of life, helping remove financial, logistical, and childcare-related barriers so every family has the opportunity to feel supported, connected, and equipped to thrive—regardless of their background or income.
