Grow Our Village was created in 2025 in response to a need for more inclusive, accessible support for new and expecting parents in our community.
 

Our founder, Audrey Smith, recognized that while many resources existed for new moms, there was still a significant gap in support for the whole family—including non-birthing partners and caregivers navigating the transition into parenthood alongside them.

After experiencing the early postpartum months herself, Audrey kept coming back to a simple question: Why don’t some of these supports already exist?

Why wasn’t there a lending library where families could try baby essentials before buying them? Why weren’t there practical workshops led by trusted local experts? And why were exhausted new parents often expected to find childcare before they could access the very support they needed?

So, she set out to help build something different.

Grow Our Village brings together newborn essentials, practical education, meaningful community, and mental health and wellness support to ease the transition into parenthood. Whenever possible, we work to remove financial, logistical, and childcare-related barriers so families can more easily access the resources and relationships they need.

Our mission is to nurture and empower new and expecting parents by providing affordable access to essential baby products, inclusive learning opportunities, mental health and wellness services, and a supportive community—helping families feel connected, equipped, and supported throughout pregnancy and their baby’s first year of life.
